The Larix Siberica is a good frost hardy tree grown in the East. They grow to around 50m tall at a reasonable rate. Larch is the only coniferous tree to shed it's needles each year (nice easy spot the next time you're on a family walk!)

Features
Growth
Durability
Siberian Larch is a Class 3 durability similar to British Western Red Cedar so expect 25+ years with no treatment. The Grading is A/B (small consistent knots along the board with few clear boards).
Treatment
Siberian Larch is regularly not treated to let it weather naturally due to the nice tight grain and high resin content of the timber. If you wish to preserve Siberian Larch we would recommend using Osmo UV-Oil 420 which we can supply.
Applications
Siberian Larch is used mainly for cladding in the UK and can also be used for decking due to how dense the timber is, it is difficult to mark. It's a great product to work with and it takes a finish well.
